NO WAKE ZONES are NO FUN!
If you boat tends to wander at low speeds, you know that it’s a real pain to keep it tracking in the now wake zone. My first power boat was awful. It had a mind of its own and I came to hate No Wake Zones. I constantly had to steer one way and then oversteer to other way to catch it. I must have looked like I was drunk. Anyway, did I mention that I hated it?
I was so mad that I went back to my shop and I made the first ORCA fin, and what a difference it made. It cut down my piloting workload about 90%. The boat was so responsive now that I could turn the boat in any direction very positively, and where ever I pointed it, it stayed there. I decided to offer the fin to others that had the same issue.
In addition, I found that I could suddenly jump up on plane. The engine ran smoother and I through far less wake at any speed. I could also control bow rise, which really improved safety because now, I could see over the bow.
The people that have the ORCA fin know their worth. Think of us the next time you wandering through the NO WAKE ZONE.
